Makerversity Maker Camp | Rosh Hashanah, September 24 & 25
Makerversity Maker Camps - Where Creativity Comes to Life
Hosted in our multi-room parlor space in Bed Stuy, Makerversity Maker Camps offer dynamic creative experiences tailored for different age groups. Our little makers explore projects, stories, and movement led by our experienced mini maker teachers, while older kids dive into ambitious creative projects they plan and execute with dedicated teacher support.
From making ice cream sundaes from scratch while filming food TV videos, to drawing and animating comic books, this is a creative space where we make dreams come true. Students learn to envision, plan, and bring their ideas to life through hands-on making, storytelling, and collaboration.
Led by United parents Laena McCarthy, Liza Botardo, Jessi Arrington, and more, and featuring wonderful makers-in-residency, sibling assistants, and parent volunteers from our community.
What Makes Our Camps Special:
Age-appropriate creative challenges that grow with your child
Project-based learning where kids see their ideas come to fruition
Multi-media exploration including film, animation, cooking, and visual arts
Small group settings that allow for personalized guidance and mentorship
A calm, inspiring environment that encourages risk-taking and creative expression
Camp Structure: Our camps provide the perfect blend of structured creative projects and free exploration. Younger children engage in Montessori-inspired activities that build confidence and community, while older makers tackle complex, multi-day projects that develop planning, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Whether your child dreams of becoming a filmmaker, chef, artist, or inventor, our maker camps provide the tools, space, and encouragement to explore their passions and discover new ones. Each camp session culminates in sharing time where makers present their creations and celebrate their learning journey.
Registration Options: You can register for one or all of the camps for Fall 2025, giving families flexibility to choose the sessions that work best for their schedule and their child's interests.
Ages: 4-11 (grouped by developmental stage)
Location: Bed Stuy brownstone parlor space with dedicated maker studios
Schedule: NYC DOE school holidays and select days
Join us where imagination meets execution, and every child's creative vision becomes reality.
