Founded by parents who believe in the power of making.
Makers United was born from casual conversations in the school yard — we noticed that our lives were lacking a third space, that vital type of place that exists outside of home and work. For both ourselves and our loved ones, we sought the deeper connections and skill sharing that we know can only come from being in community with people you admire on a regular basis.
But what could draw us all together? We are a beautifully diverse community with areas of interest that span a wide array. Our experience as educators, crafters, and entrepreneurs led us to believe that curiosity and creativity would be the values that could unite and motivate us.
Whether your passion is making a pie or a podcast, making alongside someone is a tremendous way to build bonds and transfer knowledge. Perhaps most importantly, making together can bridge the gaps often created by culture, race, or age. Our shared desire to learn and do could be what takes our community to the next level, feeding our souls in a time when we could all use a good dose of healing.
At the Makers United Clubhouse, we aim to create an environment where we all thrive.
Kids learn alongside adults, gaining wisdom that can't be found in textbooks.
Adults rediscover play and creativity, freed from the pressure to be anything other than what they are.
Knowledge flows freely, with everyone both teacher and student.
Ideas are welcomed and encouraged, no matter how wild or wonderful.
Community bonds strengthened through shared projects and experiences.
All contributions are valued. No one is ever too much, and we are all exactly enough.
