Maker Camp: The Art of Observation

Maker Camp: The Art of Observation is a playful, hands-on creative adventure for kids in grades 3–7. It’s an invitation to slow down, look closer, and discover just how much there is to notice and make.
Kids will explore different ways of seeing and expressing what they find, from photo walks and collage-making to creative journaling and blind contour drawing. They’ll learn to notice details, patterns, and moments others might miss, then turn those observations into creative work of their own.
Our focus isn’t “artistic perfection,” but the pleasure of exploration, experimentation, and imagination. Kids will follow their curiosity, try things that might not work, get a little messy, and build confidence in their own ideas. There will also be time for snacks, fresh air, and getting outside when the weather cooperates.

Designed for ages 7 to 13

8:20am–3:30pm
Each camper should bring a lunch
Cooking class extension available from 3:30-5pm ($50, food included)
Tuition of $160, materials and snacks included, with aid scholarships available
Limited to 12 students (minimum 5 students)
